Greetings, List. I have come across several occasions where people who left Long Island during the Rev. War ended up specifically in Orange County, especially immediately thereafter (my ancestor among them). Does anyone have any information on why this was such a popular destination for these refugees from Long Island? Thanks in advance for your replies. Beth
