Lee....The following is from "History of Ulster County, New York, with Illustrations and Biographical Sketches of its Prominent Men and Pioneers" by Nathaniel Bartlett Sylvester, 1880 Christ Church (Lutheran) in Woodstock Under date of May 21, 1806, a certificate was executed, signed by Andries Reisley and Philip Shutts, elders. The trustees declared elected were David Bonesteel, for one year; Henry Simon, for two years; and Philip Bonesteel, for three years. The paper was witnessed by Frederick H. Quitman and Wilhelmus Reisley; sworn to before Judge Jonathan Hasbrouck. The church filed a new certificate under date of Nov. 19, 1811. The meeting recorded was held at the house of Philip Bonesteel; Rev. Joseph Prentice presided, and Thaddeus Thompson was clerk. Two wardens were chosen, Henry Bonsteel and Abraham Van Fradenburgh; eight vestrymen, Philip Rick, Philip S. Netus, Lewis Edson, Thaddeus Thomson, John Elwyn, George Shultis, Philip Bonesteel, John Connar. Christ Church in the Town of Woodstock (Lutheran) This society was incorporated Jan. 20, 1878. The inspectors of election were Hiram A. Cramer and Ira L. Herrick. The trustees chosen were Benjamin Vredenburgh, John C. Lewis, Joshua Nash. The proceedings were verified before Edgar Snyder, notary public, and recorded Feb. 4, 1878.
