Hi all, My cousin in NY just sent me a copy of a Family Tree column in the Sept 1, 1977 issue of the Old Dutch Post-Star. Says the feature was prepared by the Ulster Co. Genealogical Society. The column is on the "Leg-Legg-Laig-Legge-Legh Family." It says that Susanna Merritt & William Legg had Banns called in the Dutch Reformed Church in Kingston in January 1677. I can't find any trace of banns or marriage in the Hoes book. Anyone know where there is a record of the marriage? And does anyone have information on their origins?
