Hi Everyone: I am new to this list. I am trying to locate any information on a Silvanus (Sylvanus)Shear. The only thing that I have so far that connects him to Uster Co is that a Sylvanus Shear was listed in roster of enlisted men in the Revolution.. He was in a militia unit from Ulster County, part of the 4th Regiment. I find Silvanus in Saratoga Co., NY in 1790 and Albany Co in 1800. I loose track of him until 1820 when they are in Lee, Oneida Co., NY where he stays until his death. So far I have 3 children, Lucretia, Issac and John. I know that there are at least 3 more, possibilites are Jacob and Jesse. They are the right age and living in small towns near Lee. Any help or suggestions appreciated. Debbie
