SMITH - I'm trying to link my Theodore Hall Smith, born ca. 1831, to Smiths in Ulster (or Delaware or Greene?) County. He is related, somehow, to the family of Samuel SMITH Jr. and his wife Clarissa GOSSOO of Shandaken (Pine Hill, Big Indian), but he does not appear to be their son. Perhaps a grandson or a nephew or a foundling? Theodore married a VANARSDALE from Bucks Co., PA, as early as 1850 or late as 1855. When Theodore died in Maryland in 1890, Joseph SMITH of Shandaken (son of Samuel and Clarissa) came down to bury him. Why? Who are these people and how are they connected??
