Hi Edward, The Reformed Church of Shawangunk is still active and has a website which can be accessed here: http://www.shawangunkreformed.org/ The Shawangunk Reformed Dutch Church Ground (now called Bruynswick Rural Cemetery) is located directly behind the church building. Both the church and the parsonage are original structures, and only a few modifications have been made to the church itself. As Merry stated, the burial records for William Benson and Synthe Elmendorf are found on _page 309_ of J. Wilson Poucher's "Old gravestones of Ulster County, New York" (1931) William Benson, died 24 Jan 1799, age 37-9-25 Sintje Elmendorf, wife of William Benson, died 24 Oct 1805, age 43-3-26 On page 311 of the same book, Evert Decker (2nd husband of Synthe Elmendorf) and his (3rd) wife Maria Terwilliger are also listed. Evert Decker was baptized at Kingston 28 Oct 1753, the son of Isaac Decker and Annetjen Bogardus. He married (1st) on 23 Oct 1777 at Shawangunk to Catharina Decker; (2nd) on 3 Apr 1803 at Shawangunk to "Synthe Benson" [LDS Film #0017922]; (3rd) on 26 May 1806 at Shawangunk to Maria Terwilliger.
