    3. Hello, Connie-- I have done a bit of Airs/Ayers research as my ggg-grandfather David Burgess married Abigail Airs, the daughter of Thomas Airs. She was born in 1783. I've seen references to Phillip as well as Andrew in various histories of Ulster and New Paltz. In searching for the Burgesses, who came from the Oblong area of Dutchess county (Conn and Sandwich, Mass before that), the Airs name has popped up in some lists of tenants, I think. I just haven't focus on them yet. David moved to Huron County, Ohio, in the 1850s. (Abigail seems to have died, but I can't find information about her death.) I happen to be going there this weekend to do a bit of research. Write me off the list, and we'll see if there is something I can look for while in Ohio.
