Cruise at West Point: DIrections Travel to the Town of Highland Falls, NY via 9 W, (coming from north or south) take route 218 into Highland Falls and travel thru the town on to West Point. Drive up to West Point Thayer Gate ( Thayer Road ), present your driver's license for security clearance. Every one in the car should have photo I.D. if they are over 14 years of age. Pass thru all the security sections and travel past Hotel Thayer on the right. Drive until you see the 1st road to the right. To the right see a sign which states: HARBOR MASTER - SOUTH DOCK. Take this right road, down the hill and arrive at the Hudson River . Parking is available at the train station and the river side.
