Their name is Curtin. They spent many summers in Rosendale New York during the later part of the 19th century and early part of the 20th century. It is our impression they owned a house up there. They mentioned a family named Barrett that they were friendly with and I have often had the feeling that there was a family connection in Rosendale, if any Curtins or Barretts are still up in Rosendale and might know something, drop me a line. My grandfather visited Rosendale up until the early 1970's and used to visit a friend who owned a beer distributor or a brewery.
