I was told that Alice's name was Alice Churchill and family rumor has it that she was somehow related to Winston Churchill. However, I honestly don't know much about that family but I think there may have been some connection to the Winchell family. Alice was born about 1883 in New York City, NY and she passed away in Port Ewen or Kingston, NY in 1963. She was married three times. Her first husband was a Williams and they had two children, Leslie and Alma. Her second marriage was to William "Bill" McGovern. Her third marriage was to Benjamin "Dewey" Soper and they had one child, Marie. My grandmother was Elizabeth Hazel McGovern. She was born on 25 Oct 1913 in Conneticut and she passed away on 2 Jun 2003 in Kingston, NY. She married Palmer Erving Severson and had 5 children: Alice Melina Jane Severson, Jeanette Hazel Severson, Sylvia Marie Severson, Palmer Irving Severson Jr. and Thomas Dewy Severson.
