He was born Jan 19 1941 in Noxen, son of the late Joseph and Edna (Derhammer) Whispell. DEATH: He graduated from Tunkhannock High School. He was in the U.S. Marine reserves. He retired from Duggan and Marcon in Wilkes-Barre. He was a member of the Christian Gospel Fellowship of Iola. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was on the Madison Township Planning Commission. He was a caring husband, father, grandfather and gr-grandfather. He was preceded in death by one brother, Joseph Whispell and two sisters, Laura White and Mildred Whispell. DEATH: He is survived by his wife, Sandra L Lawton, whom he married SZept 21 1962; one daughter, Stephanie and her husband Jim Hause of Millville; one son Jason and his wife, Trisha Whispell, of Bloomsburg; four grandchildren, Joshfua A Bacon, Matthew K Bacon, both of Millville; Kendra F Whispell and Emma C Whispell, both of Bloomsburg; four step-grandchildren, Destiny Hause, of Philadelphia; Jason Hause, of Florida; Kyla and Nicole Hause, of Berwick; one gr-grandson, Hunter A Bcon of Millville; three brothers, Richard Whispell of Tunkhannock; Robert Whispell of Moscow; Carl Whispell, of Harveys Lake; five sisters, Mrs Lee (Edna) Hoyt of Dallas; Mrs Charles (Mary) Havenstrite of Moscow; Mrs Richard (Joann) Newell of Tunkhannock; Mrs Mark (Berly) Sowers of North Carolina; Marie Martin, of Florida. DEATH: Services will be Mondat at 10 a.m. at the Christian Gospel Fellowship, with his pastor, the Rev. Paul Converse officiating, and the Rev. Walter Minto, Sr., who is retired, is assisting.
