NY and buried in the Greatsinger Cemetary in Elmira, NY. But William and Phoebe's daughter Susan A. Greatsinger was born around 1819, married Silas S. Catlin (b. 1809), and they divorced in Jan. 2, 1868. She married a 2nd husband, George Gage, on Jan. 7, 1869. She died August 01, 1904 in Shickshinny, Luzerne Co. PA. Anyway, I'm descended from Silas Catlin & Susan Greatsinger, their son was John Griffin Catlin (b. 1/18/1845 in Elmira NY, d. 2/11/1901 in Glendale, CA), married to Cordella A. Bowerman (b. 10/17/1845 in Janesville, Wisconsin, d. 3/22/1918 in Glendale, CA). From them came my great grandmother who married an Englishman, etc. Thanks for the info on William's parents and disclosure of German heritage. That's the kind of information I've been looking for.
