Hi, I don't know of any connection so far with this HARRIS family, but I do have voluminous research on John Harris of Montgomery. I suspect this family migrated from Southampton, Suffolk co. Long Island, and is connected to the George Harris family of North Sea, Long Island, an original settler. If you find a link to my folks, let me know and I'll share what I've got. Here's  my standard query:      Seeking parents, birthplace of John HARRIS (1748-8 March 1825), buried in Goodwill Presbyterian churchyard. A newish tombstone marks his grave and inscription reads "John Harris, Revolutionary War, Ulster Co. 2nd Reg. Mil. 1747-1825."      Wife Abigail ? (1749-23 June 1802) is buried next to him.      Children: David HARRIS (1775-4 Feb. 1845) m. 1. Margaret BARKLEY (1775-2 Dec. 1839) and 2. Elizabeth CRAWFORD      Other children may be John HARRIS Jr., MARTHA, SILAS, possibly PHOEBE.      I have good records beginning with David HARRIS and will share.      Elizabeth HARRIS Pope      Portland, ME.
