Dickinson) to Dutchess Co. after 1820 when James was born, I have no info on the family before James and am still searching for his parents, I do know that James had an uncle John Dickinson , wife Elizabeth who left him what she had in a will, 1867. I have several men in the family with the middle name of Dickinson but it doesn't seem to follow with any of the surnames from either side of the line.
