I am also planning a research trip to Ulster County/Albany area. I will be going to the NY State Library but would like to visit local libraries in the smaller towns such as Hurley, Kingston, Saugerties and Red Hook. Also can anyone recommend a contact for a local guide or historian for the Ulster area and the Albany area. And one last request, I am looking for a place to stay, does anyone have any suggestions for Ulster County. At the moment I'm considering the Red House Inn in Saugerties. Thanks so much M Elmendorf
