Thanks...that is a nicely done site. What I'm trying to do is find a way to verify that my David is Jordan's son. Problem is, I have no documents (other than my g-grandfather's death certificate) for David. The last census I can find him in is 1830. So I decided to track the land. Jordan is listed as living in New Paltz, but I believe some of New Paltz became Esopus when the town of Esopus was formed. I appreciate your help. Edie
