Surnames: barber yeager jaeger yager jager yaeger Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/5RB.2ACE/1401 Message Board Post: SUBJ: YEAGER (Charles?) man married Emma Jean BARBER b 1871 NYS, Greene County, Hunter in late 1880s; Ulster County BARBER, Emma Jean (Emma Jane; Amy Jane; Emmy Jane) was born 14 Jan 1871 New York, Greene County, town of Hunter (or the environs). She had seven siblings who lived to be adults: Wilbur, James, Albert, Charles, Grant, Minnie and Jessie. Albert Augustus BARBER migrated to Missouri, Jackson County, Kansas City. Her father was Francis "Frank" Augustus BARBER (1839-1921). Her mother was Emeline HARRINGTON (1837-1881). It is reputed that Emma married a YEAGER, maybe a Charles YEAGER. Who this YEAGER was is unknown. This YEAGER man's birth year most likely would have been sometime between 1865 and 1870. According to Emma's father Frank's Civil War pension papers, Emma was still alive in 1915, but I have no idea where she was located. Emma and this YEAGER man probably married in the late 1880s. I have a feeling they moved to another county in New York State or to the midwest or out west around 1890, but I haven't the foggiest idea where. I cannot trace her, nor can I find anything regarding this YEAGER she supposedly married. If you know anything of this Emma, let me know. L. J. Shulman Gilroy, California, USA
