Hi Rhoda, This is the book: Heidgerd, Ruth P. Freer Family: Descendants of Hugo Freer, Patentee of New Paltz. New Paltz: Huguenot Historical Society, 1968. It was one of those rare books which I actually do NOT own. I have been using it in the library, as the Freers are only collateral relatives. I originally thought I had some direct ancestors among them, but it was an error with my Van Wagenen line. Still hoping to find a direct Freer ancestor. In the meantime, I am studying all the New Paltz families. With Huguenot ancestors, there is always a good chance that we are related--there were so few original families.
