I have been following your messages on Hugo Freer, New Paltz, Terwilliger and Huguenots with great interest. First let me say I do not have a Freer connection at least not yet. All of you have mentioned connections to Terwilliger families. I have been researching the Crissey/Chrisey family of Alexander and Elizabeth Crissey. Their second daughter Sarah E married Augustus Terwilliger on July 4, 1863. I understand he is the son of Winfield J Terwilliger and Ann Decler. I also understand he later married Elsie Bensimer on Aug 29, 1885 after Sarah died on Feb 27, 1879. Is Augustus related to any of your Terwilligers? Do you have any information on him or his wives.
