Mary Wood, Kripple Bush Methodist Church Records, Book 2, Page 104, pasted copy of Obituary, Death date: July 26, 1893: “Kripple Bush: Mary WOOD, widow of James C. MCGINNIS, died on Wednesday July 26th, after a long and painful illness. She was born December 18th, 1815, and was a daughter of James WOOD and Martha SMITH. James WOOD, the father of the deceased, was for many years one of the prosperous merchants of this village, and died January 7th, 1852, and his wife, Martha SMITH, an exemplary Christian and member of the Methodist church departed this life on May 3rd, 1867. There are still living of the family of James WOOD three children—Josiah WOOD of this village, Eliza C., of Kingston, and Jane, residing in New York. The funeral of Mrs. MCGINNIS was held at her late residence on Thursday afternoon, Rev. Herman HAGEMAN, of High Falls Reformed Church officiating.
