    3. I am new to the ulster.rootsweb group, so maybe what I am looking for has already been kicked around. 1. I'm trying to find the names of the parents of Edward Jackson Delamarter, born November 26, 1828 in Ulster County. He had a sister Eliza and his mother's name was Sarah/Sally who was born about 1796 and died September 15, 1864 in Ulster Couty, perhaps in the Drybrook area. 2. I am trying to find information about a Peter Delamarter/Delamarter who lived in Ulster County in the early 1800's. I know of a Peter L., and have his ancestoral line, but can not find anything about Peter. 3. Looking also for information about a Mary Delamater who married David D. Dumond (1769). They were the first permanent white settlers in Middletown. He was to repay my ggrandfather within 60 days. Did NY do a mid decade census in 1875? That would be Orange Co. wouldn't it? Barbara

    3. I found the Ulster Co. 1689 Census posted on the Ulster Co. NYGenWeb page. Tunis Elison was listed in that census. Could anyone direct me to other information about him or any possible descendants? Thank you. Mary Allison Yonan <yonan@fgi.net>

    3. Jan, I found John M. Bush and Jane Osterhoudt baptizing William, John, Richard and Elizabeth at the Flatbush Reformed Church from the 1810's through the 1830's - the name "Bush" appears to be the spelling used in every account (if that is your John M.). Sorry, I don't have the burial ground index for that area - At a quick glance I didn't see them in "Old Gravestones of Ulster County". Regards, Bruce Wilcox bnlwilcox@inficad.com

    1. Court Record - Kingston, NY
    2. Bill and Cathy McGrath
    3. Is there anyone on the Ulster County mailing list who would look up a court record? I would pay the $1.00 per page fee and in exchange for your help, could look up birth and death records at the NYS Archives in Albany for you. Thanks to Ginny Byron, I have the reference number where to look for the document on microfilm at the Surrogate Court, Fair Street, Ulster County Office Building. For those who don't know, the archives has a microfilm record of birth's and death's in New York State starting in 1880. A birth record is not available until 75 years after the event and a death record 50 years after the event. Information provided on the microfilm is: date of birth or death, name of person, place where event took place and a registration number. A few births may indicate "Male", "Female" or "Stillborn" in those cases where a name was not provided at the time of birth. Regards, Bill McGrath
