    1. Re: Dekker,Swart,Quick,Masten
    2. Denise, According to the "Decker Genealogy" by Benton Weaver Decker, pg. 234, your Sara Decker b. 1710 was the daughter of Jacob Gerretson Decker and Geertje Van Wagenen. Sara's bpt is May 07, 1710 (KB 1819 as listed in the Kingston RDC records). Sara and Stephanus married on February 01, 1728/29 in the Kingston RDC records (KM 671). Their daughter Magdalena was bpt January 16, 1736/37 (KB 4713) in the Kingston records and married Johannes Masten bpt January 05, 1734/35 Kingston RDC (KB 4423). Their son Jacob was bpt Jan. 22, 1764 in the SRDC which I think (?) means *Shawangunk*? Am not sure......Jacob married Catherine Helm (no marriage record found), he is buried in the Staunton Cem., Wurtsboro, NY where he died June 04, 1852. The parents of Stephanus Swart were Adam Anthonisse Swart and Metje Willemsz Van Slyck who were married June 15, 1690 in Albany, NY. (Source: Genealogies of The First Settlers of Ancient Co. of Albany 1630-1800, Jonathan Pearson). The Sara Decker bpt. September 11, 1709, dau. of Hendrick Janse Decker and Annatje (aka Grietje) Quick, married Jacobus Rosenkrans of Kingston. Happy Hunting, hope this little bit helps............. 3. I am searching for any information relating to this couple: Joshua Fredenburg (1783-1864) who married Ruth Freeman (1784-1854). Birth years for both are from grave stones, and so not absolutely certain. Both are buried at Sanford's Corner Cemetery, Le Ray, Jefferson County, New York. They seem to have moved to Jefferson County between 1815 and 1820. The earliest data I have for Joshua and Ruth is the baptism of the eldest known child (George) 2 Nov 1803 at Minden, Montgomery, New York, now Danube, Herkimer Co., New York, but this seems not to have been their area of origin. Even the slimmest lead is appreciated! Chris Lyttle Researching: LYTTLE, JANES, JONES, RAWSON, FREDENBURG, WHEARTYN, TAFT, HALL, BARROWS, FREEMAN, OLMSTED, RICHARDS, HOWARD, JOY (among others)
