You may want to check with this cemetery for additional info as these people may be related to your search. Birth and death dates spanned mid 1700's to late 1800's.

Albert Burr was the son of William and Amanda Clearwater Burr. He died "suddenly" Dec 6 1890 at the age of 27 years, 6 months, 9 days - survived by a wife (Margaret Last name Unknown) and 3 children. I have a reference to one of the children being an Albert, Jr. with no age. I have no marriage record for Albert Sr. and Margaret but they must have been married between 1880 and 1890. I was hoping a state census might offer a clue to Albert, Jr.'s age and perhaps the age and place of birth for Margaret as well. Margaret Burr is listed in an 1895 Kingston city directory at 9 Meadow Street but is not located in the 1900 census. Perhaps she remarried or moved. I think the Albert Burr in Saugerties may be Albert Jr. but I have no basis. I am trying to make a connection. William Burr and John Burr were brothers and that would make Theron and Albert cousins. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Sunday, March 07, 2004 6:25 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [NYUlster] Att. Can anyone tell me if there was a New York State Census in 1885 and 1895? Does an index exist? I am looking for Albert Burr in 1885 and his widow Margaret Burr in 1895. Thank you

She was born Amanda Clearwater July 1836. I have no record of her marriage to William BURR, a "horse dealer" from Rosendale but believe it to be around 1859-1861. They lived in Kingston. William died in 1883 and is buried in Rosendale. Amanda remarried in 1898 to Henry VOGT and died in 1914 and is buried in Montrepose Cemetery. I believe Amanda to be the daughter of John and Eliza (DeGraff) Clearwater of Marbletown. I don't see a family connection to JONES or BEAULEY/BULEY. However, I will continue to look for a link. Perhaps they were simply dear friends.
