I'm looking for info on Daniel H. ELLIS. He was supposedly born in MA. He married Rebecca RUMP "ca 1826" in Montgomery, Orange Co. NY (according to the records of the Brick Reformed Church). Rebecca may have died in childbirth, since she died 7 Mar 1827 and is buried in the Brick Reformed Church Cemetery in Montgomery. Did Daniel remarry? There was a Daniel H. ELLIS on the 1840 census in Shawangunk, Ulster Co. NY. Was that him? Son Daniel was living in Canton, Norfolk Co. MA in July 1850, but I don't find evidence that his father was there.
