I wrote most of the information that I have in the message I posted earlier. From the census, I did have that Solomon and Priscilla had 4 children: Henry (my ancestor), and then another boy and two girls (I didn't have their names). I got Solomon and Priscilla's birth and death dates from "Old Gravestones of Ulster County, Town of Woodstock", but I didn't have the actual cemetery they were buried in. Do you have any additional dates - marriage, children's birthdays, or any other information? I will be happy to send you all of the information from my line if you are interested. Thanks for getting in touch! Kim

Her name is spelt Prissilla on her headstone in the Artist's Cemetary in Woddstock, Ulter, NY....I didn't know of any other children besides their daughter Harriett (my ancester) who married Leander Temple and her sister Mary who married an Wallace. Solomon's parents are David Smith and Mary Alexander of MA. Prissilla's maiden name is Redden and i got this information from a distant cousin.....some information online has Harriett listed as the dau of a Remeberence Smith and his wife but it is false. Lorretta Eaton of LI (the distant cousin) was able to obtain harriett's vital information from ALbany, ny i believe. do you have any info?

They were based in Ulster Co., NY. If you are looking for your wife's direct grandfather, there has to be at least several generations between these individuals. Not to say that your person is not from this family, but I don't have any documention to trace down any farther to try and help you. Perhaps if you have any more specific information about your John. Year born, or died, maybe someone else might have more information than I do. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. This family also went by Van Hoornbeeck in earlier generations. Some branches may have dropped the Van part off earlier than others. Good Luck, Amy

The names I was able to glean from census records are: Louisa, Margaret, Sarah, Menia, John, Mary A., Jane, Frank, and Bessie. Joseph died after 1900 and before 1910, Carolyn was listed in the 1910 census living with her son Frank. Anything appreciated.......thanks in advance.
