I grew up just down the road from Pine Ridge Farm, which is where Peter Smith settled in Ulysses. Long story, but my grandparents acquired the farm in the 1930s, not knowing that it had originally belonged to my grandfather's ancestor Peter Smith. I have a bit of info on Peter's father Christopher, and in fact recently posted his will on the Seneca County Rootsweb site. I have also been getting lots of info on Christopher's father Johannes Schmidt aka John Smith and am in the process of posting it to my family tree. You can see some of what I have on RootsWeb World Connect; my database ID is 2313051. An easy way to find me there is to search for Fithen Smith, since that's an unusual name.
