I printed off a copy of the obituary for Asa Douglas Wright (my GGG-Grandfather) from the Nov 18, 1871 edition. The newspaper promised a biographical sketch in the following week's edition, but unfortunately that edition is not included in the microfilm and presumably no longer exists. If anyone wants a copy of the obituary, I'll post a follow up thread with an attached PDF file of the obit. I'm trying to get proof of Asa's parents. I've been told he is the son of Orson Wright and Elizabeth Judd and he was born in Tomkins County, New York before moving to Petersburg, Illinois. He is a descendant of Asa Douglas and a cousin of Stephen A. Douglas and the Wright Brothers. Does anyone have proof of his lineage...or suggestions on how I can prove this out?
