The only Edward Bower I could find in the Census data which would match the one in 1910 Ithaca is: St. Joseph's Orphan Asylum BOWER, EDWARD (1900 U.S. Census) NEW YORK , NEW YORK, MANHATTAN BORO Age: 9, Male, Race: WHITE, Born: NY Series: T623 Roll: 1118 Page: 233 Birth date: January 1891 Parents b. NY Occupation: "at school" I did try to search "Bauer" in case it was mis-spelled but there was no match. Any connections between NYC and Ithaca/Lansing?
