JENNINGS and Sally his wife, Lewis BEARDSLEY and Mary his wife, Herman SMITH and Wealthy his wife, Rachel JENNINGS, Lemuel JENNINGS, Joseph WILLSON and Charlotte, his wife, Heirs of Lemuel JENNINGS, all of the Town of Danby, county of Tompkins and State of New York, of the first part and Merilla TAYLOR of the same place of the second part. Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars current money of the United States to them in hand paid by the said party of the second part the receipt whereof is hereby confessed and acknowledged have remised, released, and quit claimed and by these presents doth release remise and quit claim unto the said party of the second part in her actual possession now being and to her heirs and assigns forever All that piece or parcel of land being t! he Northwest part of Lot number thirty-two (32) in the Northeast section in Township Number seven in Watkins and Flint purchase (late the county of Tioga now Tompkins). Bounded as follows Viz: Beginning at a post in the Northwest corner of said lot thence south two degrees east five chains and seventy five links to a post in Northwest corner of lands heretofore sold to Eleazer TAYLOR by Lemuel JENNINGS thence North eighty-eight west along the South line of said TAYLORs land twenty two chains and forty eight links to a post thence North two degrees east five chains and seventy five links to a post thence South eighty eight degrees east twenty two chains and forty eight links to the place of beginning containing thirteen acres of land be the same more or less as surveyed by Isaac HAWES in the year 1822 together with all and singular the hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining; and the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders, r! ents issues and profits thereof; and also all the estate, right, title , interest, claim or demand whatsoever, of them the said parties of the first part, either in law or in equity of, in, and to the above bargained premises and every part and parcel thereof to the said party of the second part her heirs and assigns to the sole and proper use, benefit and behoof of the said party of the second part her heirs and assigns forever. State of New York Tompkins County ss: I Aron Bennet a commissioner of deeds for the said County certify that on the twenty fourth and fifth days of December 1833 Before me came Benjamin JENNINGS and Sally his wife Lewis BEARDSLEY and Mary BEARDSLEY his wife and Rachel JENNINGS and Herman SMITH and Wealthy his wife, Lemuel JENNINGS Joseph WILSON and Charlotte WILSON his wife to me known to be the individuals described in and who executed the above conveyance and the said Benjamin JENNINGS, Lewis BEARDSLEY, Herman SMITH, Lemuel JENNINGS Joseph WILSON and Rachel JENNINGS acknowledge to me that they executed the said conveyance and the said Sally JENNINGS Mary BEARDSLEY, Wealthy SMITH Charlotte WILSON acknowledges to me on a private examination apart from their husbands that they had severally executed the said conveyance freely and without any fear or compulsion of or from their husbands.
