Haines, If you are looking for 1825 data, both the 1825 and 1835 census enumeration records, when they survive, are in each of the Town Clerks' offices as original pages. I believe the New York State Library microfilmed these back in the 1960s or 1970s, but unless LDS has acquired the films I don't know of any way to access the images other than going to Albany. Or to the Town Clerk. I do know that the 1825 and 1835 survive for Hector Town. The Town Clerk cannot do lookups -- there is no index. I do not know whether the Clerk would be willing to make photocopies (or even if the Clerk has a copying machine). You can find contact information on the web for the various Town Clerks. Judy

The Tompkins County Clerk's office in Ithaca has the 1825 and 1835 NYS census for Hector. There is no surviving 1845 census and the Schuyler County Clerk's office has the 1855 census.
