I found a WW I draft registration card on Ancestry.com for a Jesse Rosel Northrup, who was residing at 123 Court St., Binghamton, Broome Co., NY when the card was filed, which was Sept. 12, 1918. He gave his nearest living relative as Ellen Northrup, daughter...I noticed you said your Jesse Northrup had a daughter Ellen. It appears as if Ellen was living at a residence different from his...her address is given as North Baldwin St., Johnson City, Broome Co. There is another name as well on the nearest relative line, but it is very hard to read...possibly Mrs. Samuel Bishop, or Mrs. Susan Bishop? I cannot see where the relationship between Jesse and this woman is given, but it may be there, just too small to see. By the way, card indicates Jesse was b. Oct. 4, 1877, and he was working as an "expressman" for the American R.R. Express. Jesse Northrup also appears in both the 1920 and 1930 census re! cords for Binghamton, as a lodger/roomer, marital status both times given as "w" (widower). Hope this helps!
