Surnames: Hall, Landon Classification: Deed Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/4RB.2ACE/3237 Message Board Post: Tompkins County Deeds, Book M, Page 180 This indenture made the eighteenth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand and eight hundred and twenty five between Noah HOLLISTER and Olive his wife of the town of Danby in the County of Tompkins and State of New York of the first part and Leonard HALL of the same place of the second part Witnesseth: That the said parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Six Hundred Dollars current money of the United States to them in hand paid by the said party of the second part the receipt whereof is hereby confessed and acknowledged, both granted bargained sold remised released aliened and confirmed and by these presents doth grant bargain sell remise release alien and confirm into the said party of the second part in actual possession now being and to his heirs and assigns forever All that certain lot, piece or parcel of land situate in the town of Danby and county of Tompkins being lot number fifty seven in the twelve townships Watkins & Flint purch! ase excepting and reserving therefrom thirty five acres sold to Lewis FORTNER also reserving a small corner of said lot sold by Silas LANDON to Lewis FORTNER and lying between the turnpike and the highway running Easterly into the town of Caroline that part of said lot hereby intended to be conveyed being bounded as follows. Beginning on said HALLs post line where the same strikes the Ithaca and Owego turnpike thence Northerly along said HALLs line to the north line of said lot number fifty seven bounded on the south by the turnpike bounded on the north by the land the owner unknown and lying on the west side of said lot containing all the land conveyed by Charles PUMPELLY unto Silas LANDON by Deed for the same more or less except the small corner above reserved – together with all and singular the hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders rents issues and profits thereo! f and all the estate right title interest property claim or demand wha tsoever of the said parties of the first part either in law or equity of in and to the above bargained premises with the said hereditaments and appurtenances: To have and to hold the said premises above particularly described to the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns to the sole and only proper use and behoof of the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever, and the said parties of the first part for their heirs executors and administrators doth covenant promise and agree to and with the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns the above bargained premises in the quiet and peaceable possession of the said party of the second their heirs and assigns against all and every person and persons lawfully or equitably claiming or to claim the whole or any part thereof will ever warrant and defend.
