There was a Sidney who is buried in Newfield (my GGGrandfather's son), a Sidney who died in Van Etten in 1895 buried in W. Danby, and my Uncle Sidney who died in St. Paul, MN. I would be interested in communicating with his descendants to learn what information they have. P.S. I've learned that the Houses' buried in Spencer are all related. Thanks again. ED

Surnames: House Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/4RB.2ACE/3173.2 Message Board Post: Sidney House lived in North Spencer he passed away just a few years back he ran a store there plus farmed alot of acreage .He donated the land for what is now Tthe North Spencer Christian Academy there is a old cemetary between his house and the school.I believe it is called the Hugg Town cemetary since the orginal town was called Hugg Town.He still has relatives here in West Danby and Spencer.North Spencer is in Tioga County. There are Hugg Town referances in the Spencer historical records and Tioga historical. Good Luck

Also found things via the YMCA and other diplomats' libraries. So now its a waiting game, as have info coming from Rutgers University, Vassar College, the YMCA, and a few other sources. You mentioned a sister Mary - I don't have a sister in the file by that name. The 1880 census shows the parents, Ransford, 2 brothers and 1 sister Adaline. Was Mary much younger or old enough to have already been married and gone by 1880? He only ties to my line thru his marriage to Lily Murray, but I am finding him and their daughter Lilian to be fascinating! Thanks for your help.

Then John Lanning Taylor 's file & finally Harry Leonard Taylor's file.In Olin library maybe. years ago at Cornell.She copied everything ,his letters & clippings & another place I got his thesis.But all at Cornell.'Twasn't easy.nothing but a pencil past the door.or was it in the "stacks".that class must have been something. I think 3 from Tioga Co.all the first grads of Spencer Academy...When his sister Mary died residue of estate went to Cornell .that too.It is worth pursuing.Dolores
