Surnames: THOMPSON, BRADLEY, HOLT, MITCHELL, CATHRAN, Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/4RB.2ACE/2928.2.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Thank you for answering my query. I have been following this family for a long time and done a lot of research on it. Please feel free to e-mail me for further information. We need to follow up on the research. I really would like to know who Daniel Thompson's (Born 11 Nov 1788 East Haven CT and died 3 July 1871 Detroit Mich) parents are. I know the Hemmingway Holt Bradley was born 6 Jun 1792 in East Haven, New Haven, CT and died 13 Oct 1847 Ithica, Tompkins, NY. I do not know when he married nor do I know where he is buried but I guess it probably was in Ithica. He had a daughter Susan T Bradley 1822 - 1 Mar 1901 married to William Mitchell born 1825 Ithica, Tompkins NY died 23 Dec 1904. They had 2 children: Ella Mitchell who married John Cathran) and Cara Belle Mitchell. SOURCE: See Tompkins Co Probate Record for H.H. Bradley. I found a lot of the information from the following "East Haven Vitals and Families of Ancient New Haven" by Donald Lines Jacobus FAM 6, page 789. Then I traveled to Ithica NY and found a whole bunch more information on a group of people that moved to the area about 1805. INFORMATION: May be buried with Samuel Thompson as Lydia Holt Thompson in Bath Cemetery, Bath, New York. She moved with Samuel when he left Thompkins Co, New York. Samuel was a revelutionary war vetran. I believe she married Samuel Thompson after the death of her husband Jessie Bradley and moved with him and Daniel Thompson (Susan Ann Bradley is my 3rd Great Grandmother and married Daniel Thompson 8 Jan 1805 in Trumansburg, Seneca, New York - they moved to Detroit Michigan in 1824) to Trumansburg NY. Her sister Sarah died about 1795, was married to a Samuel Thompson 20 Apr 1786 and she may have died in Connecticut before the move. I suspect that Samuel and Lydia married before or after the move to NY. DEATH?: Grove Cemetery, Bath, New York. Samuel Thompson d. 1840 Age 74y, Lydia Thompson d. 1851 w/of Samuel (nee: HOLT), Abigail Thompson d. 1817 Age 13y d/of Samuel & Lydia INFORMATION: BURIAL: Quaker Settlement Cemetery, Ulyssses, NY one mile south of Jacksonville at the corner of Jacksonville and Perry City Roads. Row 9,#121 Margaret wife of Hemingway H. BRADLEY died Apr. 20, 1847 AE. 42 yr's 3 mo & 12 da (M.B.)

I believe the record you mentioned will assist me with the validation that they are the same person. Although middle initials are different - all other data (birth and death dates) match perfectly. Additional recent contact with distant relative stated Alden was in poor health while living in Bliss, Wyoming County, NY; he married wife #2 - Hellen O. (Christofferson) Hart [1st wife to Lloyd Millage Hart], then moved to FL where he died not long after their arrival. His remains were returned to Bliss for burial at the request of his family (children perhaps??). After Hellen's death in 1977 in FL, her final resting place was next to Lloyd in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden, Tompkins County, NY. Hoping a response to my query regarding Alden & his family to Wyoming County, NY website will continue to unravel this family mystery. Kem
