In 1860 they lived in Ithaka and had 3 children i.e. must have married ~ 1852-1854 - possibly (probably?) in Ithaka. By 1870 they lived in New York City, had seven children, and continued to live there till their deaths; Benjamin died 7 March 1876; Julia died 2 Jan. 1912. He was probably Jewish and never seems to have applied for citizenship. I cannot find them on passenger lists from Europe, nor in marriage lists for New York. I really would like to find Benjamin's parents in Holland and a possible link to my family there.

How would James [wife, Sarah Mariah], Cornelius, Peter, and Charles Wager fit in to the Tompkins Co. Wagers you've been discussing? Joyce
I have several photos of the Hart family and many of their associated branches and family friends from Tompkins and Tioga County. I scanned two specific ones which were taken in the late 1920's and had them posted on the website for Tompkins County at _http://www.rootsweb.com/~nytompki/scrap/scraphart.htm_ (http://www.rootsweb.com/~nytompki/scrap/scraphart.htm) for all readers to see. Most of individuals in one of them have been identified - at this time, about a third of the persons in the second one have been. I'm very interested in seeing your Hart photos and autograph pages. Please contact me off line to discuss the possibility and details. Thank you, Kem Hart-Baker
I do not have gravesite information but my mother has an autograph book from Margaret Fanning Burlingame Rounseville with paragraphs signed by A.O. Hart (1842); Eveline M. Hart; L.H. (assume Hart); Josiah Hart and Mary A. Hart (her sister). There are also pages signed by Burlingames, lincoln, Patches, rounseville, woodworths, tripp and more. She has a photo album labelled Hart's but no names are referenced. She would like to start putting names to faces. Anyone with Hart pictures from this county? J. BOOTH from Groton area of Tompkins County. He was listed as the undertaker on death certificates for my Great grandparents, Alphonso E. HART and his wife, Elta Belle (DENNIS) Hart. They died in Groton on August 30, 1920 and Jan. 5, 1931 respectfully. I have found his name on other family members death information at least up until 1955. I'm hoping to locate perhaps a "current" funeral home which may have taken over and maintained the records of deaths and burials by this individual. I'd like to locate the specific lot and section # of my great grandparents' burial locations within Peruville Cemetery outside of Groton. I have been informed by a current cemetery association official that the association "inherited" very poor records of burials and their records on hand were transcribed from information obtained from headstones within the cemetery. Where does that leave family members whose ancestors died and were buried without a headstone but are buried within that cemetery?? Any help would be most appreciated. Kem K. I don't know if "roomer" Edward Bower was a brother, cousin or what the relationship was. Does anyone know who were the parents of Hattie (nee Bower) Williams? I don't even know if she was from Ithaca, or Tompkins County, for that matter. The census indicates she and her parents were born "New York". I believe Hattie Bower Williams was killed in an auto accident c. 1932. Her husband Charles L. Wiliiams, died in Ithaca in 1961. Information or leads regarding her would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

I have no idea where I fit - Glen (my gramps) died in 1984 in Wisconsin and due to divorce wasn't in our lives. This is what I do have: Frank and Fanny Wager: (children) Charles (m. Iva Brewer - divorced 1951) he moved to Wisconsin Alma Wager (m. Floyd Stannard) Frances (disappeared never seen again around 1952) And this is where I am stuck. I don't know why or how Frank ended up at the Bower's home in 1860 or who his parents were. The Bowers at that time lived next door to Rev. Charles N. Wager (father of Edward Holmes Wager)
