Hi, Was Ruben Williams from Tompkins County? Birth and death dates? I believe I found Candace/Candice in the Census. Was her maiden name Hungerford? HOUSEL, b. Abt 1830, NY; d. 1 Dec 1898; bur. Grove Cemetery, Town of Ulysses, Tompkins Co., NY, first appears on the census reports of the Town of Ulysses as early as the 1860 census, when she was living with Sylvester and Rachel KING ("HOWSEL", pg. 224). She is recorded as living alone in Jacksonville, Tompkins Co., in the census of 1870 (pg. 404), as she is in the census of 1880 ("HOWSAL", pg. 370B). Records from the Grove Cemetery, Town of Ulysses, Tompkins Co., NY, where she buried, indicate that she died 1 Dec 1898. She rests there on the same plot as Sylvester and Rachel KING and several members of their family (Lot 692). It would appear that Mary J. had never married, as she is marked as Single in each census in which she has been found. ANY information about Mary J. and any members of her family would be MOST appreciated. I am also interested in Sylvester and Rachel KING and the relationship between them and Mary J. HOUSEL. We have NOT found either an obit or a death record for Mary J. HOUSEL. Any assistance in that regard would also be most appreciated. Of course, of greatest interest is ANY information about her parents or siblings. Please respond either by posting or directly by email. Thanks.
