Hi, Juliann, I've just read your message to the Tioga Co. list, and I was wondering what your grandfather's last name was. A lot of my mother's family was from Tioga and Greene Co., and my great grandfather was born in Candor. He was James ARMSTRONG, s/o James & Elizabeth (Cady) ARMSTRONG. Other surnames we have in that area are LOSEE, MERRITT, HELMER, STODDARD, HARRIS, GREEN, BARRON, KNAPP/KNOPP, HAWKINS. I think there are a few others, but right now it's after 2 AM,. and my so-called brain has long since clocked out for the night! Hoping to hear from you...
