I've "rescued" an old photograph of Bill, Alice, Dora, and Clarence MEAD taken at the Jackson Studio in Owego, New York. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1880's with the parents appearing to be in their 50's and the children 4 years of age into late teens. Based on limited research I believe this is a photograph of William R. MEAD b. NY in 1844, his wife Mary Alice MEAD b. 1850 in NY, and their daughter Dora MEAD b. 1870 in NY, all living in Newark Valley, NY during the 1880 census. It appears that their son Clarence MEAD wasn't born until 1885 and died in Tioga County, NY in 1966, so I'm guessing that the photograph was probably taken in the late 1880's. I'm hoping to locate someone from the family so that this wonderful old family photograph can be returned to its rightful place with family.
