Hi, Gwen in WA State, Would you do me a favor, please, and post to the list if you receive any replies to your question about reaching the church at Candor in Tioga Co.? I have g grandfather born there, and possibly married there. I've been intending to start trying to find addresses for churches there, although I'm not sure what denomination. I think a Protestant one, but I don't know which. Possibly Episcopalian, as that's what most of my family/ancestors seem to have been, and that's the church that I was brought up in, but that's just a guess. I have to admit, though, that getting any info may be a problem, after reading your letter! Did they (the church) cash your check? I sure hope that's not their normal attitude about inqueries!
