LYNCH was born in Barton, Tioga County, New York, June 28, 1844, and died at her home in Berkshire, Tioga County, New York, November 19, 1888. She was the daughter of Alanson CARR. December 25, 1860, she was united in marriage with Charles O. LYNCH. She was the mother of seven children. She experienced religion in 1870, and united with the Aurora Street Methodist Episcopal Church, Ithaca, Tompkins County, New York. On moving to Berkshire, New York, she became a member of the Methodist Episcopal church of that place. For about two years she suffered greatly from a cancer, which caused her death. She bore her suffering with great fortitude, leaning upon the promises of Jesus. She looked forward to the life beyond with hopefulness. She said at different times: "Jesus is with me." "Without him I do not know what I would do." As she neared the end she called her friends to her bedside and gave them good counsel, leaving a message for those who were not p! resent. Rev. George O.
