Joan, I'm about to take advantage of your very kind offer to check on Tioga Co. surnames. I have a James ARMSTRONG, who born on 4 July 1834 @ Candor, Tioga Co; I assume that his parents were also there at that time as well: they were Henry & Eliza (Cady) ARMSTRONG, and there may have also been at least two sisters there as well.
