In the 1855 State Census, Town of Dix, he listed as being 47 years, born in Tompkins County NY. His wife is Marie (Mariah) Wygant age listed as 39 (which I believe should be 41) born at Chemung Co. NY . They moved from NY State to Crawford Co. PA in the middle of 1830's, returned to NY Tompkins Co. before 1848, and in Chemung Co. NY before 1850. Children listed : James 15, Phebe 10, Lorane 7, and Richard 5. Might have had older chldren. Thanks for you interest. Nancy
