Last Christmas day she became the bride of Leslie Hamilton and both young people were highly esteemed in the community and the church where they were regular attendants. The young couple left Thursday morning for a wedding trip to Cortland and other places. As both are well known and highly respected in Berkshire they have the best wishes of their many friends. Community notes: Speedsville - date unknown, but after 1901. A sad accident occurred on Wednesday of last week on Berkshire hill, about three miles from this place. A little child named Hamilton was playing with matches which became ignited and set its clothing on fire. When the mother returned to her home she found her little one lying on the bed and her clothing burned. Death came in a short time to the relief of the little sufferer. Personal: Mr. and Mrs. Will Meeks entertained the ladies aid society of the Episcopal church on Tuesday evening. They have a nice home and the guests were welcomed, and fared sumptuously. James Sears is suffering from neuralgia at his home on the Caroline Center road. Miss Jennie Lant sailed for England on Thursday of this week. Frank Maynard, who has been residing with Mrs. Nancy Hungerford the past season, has returned to his home. This is all I have from the bible. I do have other clippings, and when I get the time I will type them in. Patti researching: Hamilton, Matson/Matison/Matteson, Negus (Neigus), Tarbox, Marical/Mericle/Maricle
