Thank you for your post Mr. Samuelson, I did go to the site, figured out quite quickly a scam. The word free appears in red and then a few words past mentions a low fee. It is either free or not, mention of low fee, crosses out the stated free. Also received a link from a friend for another that is a scam or would appear, forget simple URL, read the FAQ , etc. if one signs up for membership, again free, but then low fee it says, you then have access to world wide gedcoms etc. Wise for all of us to remember the old but still so true addage: If it sounds too good to be true, it may not be. Concerning the latter company, I copied and pasted the area within one sentence stating free then low fee, sent to them calling attention to that as well as no amount in regards to fee mentioned, have to sign up first, surprisingly he answered the email, saying that even if I did not become a member I could search literally millions of items. No thanks. Thanks again, most of us know, but are reluctant to post to lists about such. Judith MB.
