I have not seen the Lafferty name in connection to the Bartons I'm tracking. Most of what I have is on a single family line - mostly males. Thie family moved from Westchester Co. NY to Dutchess Co. NY around 1760 +/- before moving to the Tioga Co. area. The two Barton families turned out to be one family of distant cousins.
