There is some suggestion of at least one sibling to Sackett named Samuel [HILL?] b ~1821. That 21 year spread suggests that either Sackett was an early-born to a young mother or that the father later remarried, making them half-brothers. Now let's move to about 1824 and Chemung County, where I think Sackett married Elizabeth SHOEMAKER and settled into farming, at Erin I think, and making little HILLs. 25 acres at Van Etten is what he left to their five children in his 1875 will. For more probable clues to family, here are the birth names in order. Thomas - suggests that could have been Sackett's father's name. Andrew is next. Shoemaker HILL third, for Elizabeth's surname. Eliza fourth, and last is John. That suggests possible family given names: Andrew Samuel Thomas William John HILL, whose lifetimes would have been 1700s into earlyish 1800s. Sackett and Elizabeth are buried at WESTBROOK cemetery at Van Etten. As best we can tell so far, Sackett was NY-born. Elizabeth SHOEMAKER is as much a mystery, but my best guess so far, given that it's passed down she was born in PA ~1803ish, she might well be Elizabeth S (SILL?)
