There is a lovely photo of the Joseph and Sophia Day family on pg. 174 of the Jan-Feb 1988 issue of Everton's Genealogical Helper" magazine. Joseph Day (1819-1919), was the son of Elias B. Day and Maria Worms of Tioga Co. NY. Sophia (1833-1919) as the daughter of Garrett L. Cotton and Louisa Root of Onondaga Co. NY. Pictured are their grown children who were all born in Sabula, Jackson Co., IA: Lula born 1859, Charles, born 1864, and Sophia, born 1872. The family photograph was shared by a Janesville, IA researcher; Sophia Cotton Day was her husband's 2nd great aunt.
