The Berry family came from Guildhall, Vermont and migrated through central New York, eventually settling in Berrytown, Bradford, Pennsylvania. I believe they stayed for a spell in Tioga County, New York. John S. BERRY born 04 April 1772 Oakham, Worcester, Massachusetts and died about 1841 in Berrytown, Bradford, Pennsylvania. John married Elizabeth ELLIOTT 1798 in Guildhall, Essex, Vermont. Elizabeth born 10 September 1778 in Vermont, the daughter of James and Elizabeth (LNU) Elliott and died 15 April 1876 in Orleans, Ionia, Michigan. The children of John and Elizabeth ELLIOTT Berry are named James P., Alvin, Esther, Benjamin, John S., Eliza, Luther M., Joseph, Lydia, Amanda and Clara. Some of their children may have married and remained in Tioga County, NY; their son, Benjamin, reportedly resided near Richford, Tioga, NY. Any information on the descendants of John and Elizabeth ELLIOTT Berry would be very much appreciated.
