    3. I'm delighted to have found a bit more on my gr-gr-grandmother, Harriet Stewart who was living with her daughter Eleanor (spelled Elenor in the 1880 Census) Phillips in 1880 and 1887. Thanks to info on the Tioga web site, other census records and a historical gazetteer, I've also found Eleanor's husband's first name, Addison B. Phillips. It's possible he may be the "Phillips & Murray - Tanners" in the 1856 Factoryville Business Directory someone kindly placed on the web site. According to the 1887Historical Gazetteer and Directory of Tioga County, I think he may have died abt 1879, since the business he'd bought in 1870 (p 105) was sold in 1879 to A.I Decker. I checked the cemetery records on the Tioga site, but couldn't find any of those names, though I think they probably all died in Barton (Factoryville). Another surprise was finding that Eleanor's younger sister Emily, who had been a house keeper for a banker in Auburn, Cayuga, was living in Barton in 1910! Emily never married, and was 64 at that time. I need to spend more time on the 1910 census to see if Eleanor was still alive then (she would have been abt 80). If anyone has any connections or suggestions, I'd love to hear! TIA Jean Chapman Snow Sherman Oaks CA
