My ancestor, Mary TITUS was supposedly born in South New Berlin in 1790. This is according to the Aylesworth book. Mary TITUS married Samuel AYLESWORTH in 1809. She died in 1843 in Butternuts, Otsego County which is all in the same area as her birth. >From what I have read, there was no South New Berlin in 1790. It was Tioga County of the early era before all the boundaries changed. I don't know where the author of the Aylesworth book got his information but he lists exact dates and places. He does not list her parents or siblings. Does anyone have any information of the TITUS family in the late 1700s-early 1800s before South New Berlin was formed and was part of Chenango County?
